With the aim of further strengthening Peruvian presence in the luxury travel segment, the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru) participated recently in the 2025 edition of Luxperience.

The event is a luxury tourism fair and business platform that connects providers with travel agents to foster relationships and create exclusive experiences.

The event took place in Sydney, Australia, from October 7 to 10.

PromPeru held 37 business meetings with leading travel agencies specializing in high-end tourism. It also generated around 45 commercial contacts.

This participation allowed for strengthening Peru's positioning on a strategic platform, where links were established with agencies serving a client base that includes high-purchasing-power Australian travelers.

During four days, PromPeru boosted the South American country's presence in the competitive Australian market and in international luxury tourism.

The agency promoted emblematic destinations such as Arequipa, Madre de Dios, Puno, Cusco, Loreto regions, Lima, and the northern coast, along with the nation's unparalleled natural, cultural, and gastronomic richness.

Since its creation in 2012, Luxperience has positioned itself as one of the most important tourism fairs in the luxury segment, standing out for its international reach.

PromPeru has participated in previous editions, achieving valuable business connections.

These efforts are part of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism's (Mincetur) strategy, through PromPeru, to consolidate the country's position as a luxury tourism option in the Oceania and Asia markets, as well as to attract high-purchasing-power travelers from said region.

Within this framework, the agency also participated in Virtuoso On Tour: Destinations, an event held in Melbourne, Australia, from September 9 to 10.

Australia represents a strategic market for promoting tourism in Peru.

Australian travelers show a growing interest in discovering the country, drawn by its adventure-ready landscapes, cultural richness, and gastronomy.

Between January and August 2025, Peru received a total of 19,577 Australian tourists, representing a 25% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

It is worth noting that these visitors among the highest spenders in the South American country, featuring an average 15-day stay.
