The BCR noted that sales levels edged down from 56.5 to 56.4 points between March and April, remaining in optimistic territory.

"Regarding production levels, the indicator increased from 51.2 to 57.1 points between both months, reflecting stronger productive dynamism," it indicated.

The BCR stated that demand levels compared to expectations rose from 47 to 47.6 points between March and April. Meanwhile, purchase orders compared to the previous month declined from 56.5 to 54.6 points, remaining in optimistic territory.

"For their part, business expectations indicators declined, although they remained in optimistic territory, except for the three-month economic outlook indicator," the issuing entity stated.
