Peru: Standardization of Odebrecht collaboration agreement guarantees further information

13:14 | Lima, Jun. 19.

Lava Jato Case Special Prosecution Group Coordinator Rafael Vela on Wednesday affirmed the standardization of the collaboration agreement with Odebrecht will secure the information provided to Peru's Justice and guarantee that the Brazilian company continues collaborating with the Prosecutor's Office.

Likewise, he indicated the data have been used in the development of the team's investigation on corruption cases.

Furthermore, the prosecutor mentioned that if the validation of the agreement had failed, then all the statements given by Odebrecht officers in Brazil would have been declared nonexistent, which would have had a deep negative impact on the probe.
