Peru President receives Apostolic Nuncio's credentials

President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Monday evening received diplomatic credentials from Apostolic Nuncio Nicola Girasoli, who will be based in Peru.

The ceremony took place at the Government Palace's Golden Hall in the presence of Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna.

Once the event concluded, officials posed for the official photo and Mr. Kuczynski wished the diplomat well in his position.

Monsignor Girasoli will replace Monsignor James Patrick Green who has been appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Denmark, Island and Sweden.

As is known, the Peruvian Episcopal Conference (CEP) on Monday revealed Pope Francis' activities for his future visit to the Inca country in January 2018.
