Peru President inspects Pan American Village facilities for coronavirus patients

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Friday visited the Pan American Village to inspect the implementation of dedicated areas for coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.

The Head of State was joined by Defense Minister Walter Martos, EsSalud Executive-President Fiorella Molinelli, and the Executive Director of the Special Project for the Preparation and Development of the Lima 2019 XVIII Pan American Games and Sixth Parapan American Games Alberto Valenzuela.

On Wednesday, the top official announced that the Pan American Village, located in Lima's peripheral Villa El Salvador district, would be destined to the treatment of coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.


The place is aimed at hospitalized patients requiring oxygen. It will not admit seriously-ill patients, as they will be brought to the Ate Hospital.
