Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday announced that the
Pan American Village, located in Lima's peripheral Villa El Salvador district, will be destined to the treatment of coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.
In a press conference, the Head of State explained that the first tower of the Pan American Village will be set up starting Thursday, March 19, and will be ready next week.
The statesman said that this decision has been taken considering that higher infrastructure demand for more patients should not be expected.
This will provide a response capacity, he emphasized.
