President Martin Vizcarra affirmed on Monday that he expects the
2020 parliamentary elections will be held normally and Peruvians will vote for the best candidates running for Congress.
On the other hand, the Head of State indicated his administration is always open to dialogue.
The top official recalled that he would meet with representatives of the
Judiciary, the
Public Ministry, the Ombudsman Office, and the
Comptroller's Office in order to discuss the procedures to be followed in conducting the 2020 parliamentary elections.
"There has been a fight to accomplish what is best for all Peruvians, we have made every effort for dialogue, and each of our actions proves this," he added.
The remarks were made after handing over 130 patrol cars to the National Police in order to improve security in Lima and Callao.
