Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Friday noted the Government-led fight against corruption is supported by the population, which is why his administration is pushing political and judicial system reforms.
On the other hand, the President underlined his administration will place emphasis on providing landfills across the nation and —along with Environment and Housing Ministries— will set timelines for their implementation.
"We'll make an effort to double the number of planned landfills. Plus, we'll set a completion date," the statesman expressed.
"Proper waste management needs to be in line with peoples' development agenda," he added.
Peru's top official noted the Andahuaylas landfill benefits 67,000 inhabitants and will allow comprehensive solid waste management to improve public, as well as environmental health of citizens within this jurisdiction.
