The Head of State explained that the rains were caused by the weather phenomenon known as DANA, which will bring heavy precipitation to this part of the capital and the southern part of Peru.

The top official noted that many ravines have become active, reiterating that State ministers will travel to oversee prevention and relief efforts.

Moreover, she reported that this weather phenomenon has not claimed any lives, but has caused property damage.
