In a new action to strengthen immigration control and contribute to restoring order and security in Peru,
the National Superintendence of Migration, led by Luis Yunis, in coordination with the Peruvian National Police (PNP) Foreign Nationals Division, carried out the deportation of 42 foreign nationals in irregular immigration status.
Of the total, 35 are Venezuelan and seven are Colombian.
During the checks, it was also found that two had prior criminal convictions.
The foreign nationals were taken to the border and expelled from the country in accordance with the applicable measures and current regulations.
"Peru needs order and security, and at Migraciones, we are taking action. Anyone who enters or remains in our country must respect our laws. We will not let our guard down; we will strengthen immigration controls and take the necessary measures against those who violate the regulations," said National Migration Superintendent Luis Yunis.

He also highlighted the coordinated work with the PNP’s Foreign Nationals Division as part of a strategy to strengthen the Peruvian State's response capacity.
"Effective immigration control is also a matter of security. We are identifying, verifying, and taking action against those who violate the regulations. This is a clear demonstration that the State is regaining control and that Migraciones is on the front line, contributing to this effort," he emphasized.
This operation was carried out at the request of Interior Minister Cesar Astudillo Salcedo.
It is aligned with the policy of President Keiko Fujimori's Government to restore order and strengthen security.
Finally, the National Superintendence of Migration announced that it will continue intensifying inspection and enforcement measures, particularly in border areas and strategic locations, to ensure that entry into, stay in, and departure from Peruvian territory comply with the rules established by law.
