After greeting the authorities assembled at the reviewing stand, the top official watched the equestrian competition.
The event was held at the Army Riding School – Picadero de Junin Military Equestrian Club in Lima's La Molina district.
The "Junin Cup" Equestrian Competition, President of the Republic Trophy, was established on August 6, 1940.
This event marked the 86th consecutive year of the celebration.
The competition featured national and international riders representing the sister nations that fought in the Battles of Junin and Ayacucho.
