The association detailed that the highest-producing blocks were Lot 95 (Loreto region), 10,658 barrels per day; Lot X (Piura region), 8,233 barrels per day; and Lot Z-69 (Piura), 2,954 barrels per day.
On the other hand, Lots 67, XV, XX, and Z-6, among others, recorded no production during the analyzed period.
Meanwhile, natural gas production increased slightly from 1,551 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) in June to 1,554 MMCFD in July 2026, representing a 9.6% increase compared with July 2025.
The highest levels of natural gas production were recorded at Lot 88 (979 MMCFD), followed by Lot 56 (302 MMCFD), and Lot 57 (199 MMCFD), all located in Cusco region.
The SPH noted that although oil production showed a slight recovery from the previous month, the year-on-year decline reflects that Peru continues to experience a downward trend in crude oil production.
In that context, the association considered it necessary to promote measures that support the exploration and development of new projects.
These measures include a predictable regulatory framework, faster permitting processes, and conditions that encourage private investment, with the aim of strengthening reserves and reducing dependence on hydrocarbon imports.
