The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti on Thursday arrived in Andean Ayacucho region to deliver 44,350 vaccines against COVID-19 aimed at immunizing the elderly in this jurisdiction.

The Head of State was joined by Ministers Oscar Ugarte (Health), Jose Luis Chicoma (Production), Alejandro Neyra (Culture), and region's Governor Carlos Rua.

Within this framework, the top official said that one of his administration's main commitments was to bring vaccines to the country's inner regions as soon as possible —a task that is being accomplished.

On April 20, the statesman visited rainforest Ucayali region to deliver vaccines and will soon do the same in Huancavelica, Tumbes, and Piura.
