The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti on Sunday morning received a batch of 276,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses obtained under the COVAX Facility modality.

Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez and Health Oscar Ugarte, among other dignitaries, accompanied the Head of State during the event.

The vaccines —transported by a KLM aircraft— landed at Lima's Jorge Chavez International Airport at 10:45 a.m. (local time).

"Let's keep confidence and hope alive, let's not lower our guard, and let's all lend our shoulders," the Head of State wrote on Twitter.
