Peru President: At least 119,000 people have defeated COVID-19

Some 119,409 people managed to defeat the COVID-19 disease, President Martin Vizcarra stressed, during his virtual press conference on the 92nd day of the state of national emergency decreed to contain the advance of the pandemic in Peru.







Initially set to last from March 16 to 30, the quarantine was extended until June 30.

On this occasion, the President was joined by members of the Council of Ministers. The event was held at the Government Palace in Lima.

Monday marks the ninety-second day of mandatory social isolation in Peru.
