Ex-high-ranking officials of former President Alan Garcia's second term in office (2006-2011) have been detained by the judicial police, over alleged bribes for the awarding of Lima Metro Line 1 to Brazilian Odebrecht corporation.
Ex-Secretary-General of the Presidency and former Minister Luis Nava —a close aide of the
late Garcia— remains hospitalized in a local clinic, but the judicial police guards the location awaiting his discharge to arrest him.
However, Jose Nava —Luis Nava's son and Don Reyna company manager— is a fugitive from justice.
According to Nava, he is in the United States for eye treatment and will return to the Inca country on May 7.
