Peru PM: Reactivation of paralyzed works to strengthen economic stability

Prime Minister Vicente Zeballos on Thursday affirmed that the urgency decree aimed at reactivating paralyzed works will strengthen economic stability in Peru.

"The works will have a positive impact (…)," the cabinet chief told Radio Nacional.

According to him, these include 867 works, which require an investment worth S/16 billion (US$4.777 billion). 

Likewise, the high-ranking official recalled that the urgency decree to reactivate paralyzed works had been boosted last March by the Comptroller's Office at Congress

However, the Legislative Branch had disregarded it. 

Tia Maria

Concerning the Tia Maria mining project in Arequipa region, Zeballos underlined that the Government respects the autonomy of the Mining Council.
