Peru: Government dialogues with Chumbivilcas authorities

Peruvian State Ministers and Chumbivilcas Province authorities reached diverse commitments aimed at guaranteeing the comprehensive and sustainable development in the area.

Ministers Edmer Trujillo (Transport-Communications), Paola Bustamante (Development-Social Inclusion), and Francisco Ismodes (Energy-Mines) were present at the meeting.

"After a second day of audiences, we made progress to ensure the development of Chumbivilcas Province," the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) informed via Twitter.

In this sense, Cusco Region Governor Jean Paul Benavente expressed his gratitude for the willingness to dialogue with the purpose of generating trust and development in the zone.

Likewise, the Government is committed to strengthening the Chumbivilcas' Technical Table, boosting its processes, and following it permanently to guarantee the comprehensive and sustainable development in the area.

It should be noted Chumbivilcas had joined the protest against Las Bambas mining project in the past days.
