clarified on Tuesday that political ambassadors will leave their posts in July, before the end of the current administration.
He explained that the recent supreme resolutions published in the Legal Regulations bulletin of Official Gazette El Peruano initiate the protocol and administrative process governing the transfer of responsibilities upon the conclusion of assignments abroad.
The process includes the return to Peru before July 28, as required by law.
The Cabinet member also clarified that this does not affect the electoral process abroad.
Voting abroad is being administered by Peru's consulates at 219 polling places across the five continents.
The corresponding supreme resolutions thanked them for the valuable services they rendered to the Nation in the performance of their duties.
