Peru terminates tenure of ambassadors to Brazil, New Zealand, and other countries

The Government has ended the tenure of three ambassadors of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic accredited to various countries and international organizations, according to supreme resolutions published Tuesday in the Legal Regulations bulletin of Official Gazette El Peruano.

Trinidad and Tobago

The provisions of Supreme Resolution No. 086-2026-RE apply to Ambassador Claudia Giuliana Betalleluz Otiura, whose functions as Peru's representative to Trinidad and Tobago have been terminated.

Her duties before the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and, on a concurrent basis, Barbados, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have also been terminated.

New Zealand

Likewise, through Supreme Resolution No. 087-2026-RE, the diplomatic mission of Ambassador Jose Emilio Bustinza Soto as Peru's representative to New Zealand was terminated.

Brazil

Similarly, through Supreme Resolution No. 088-2026-RE, the duties of Ambassador Romulo Fernando Acurio Traverso as Peru's representative to the Federative Republic of Brazil and to the Republic of Suriname, with residence in Brasilia, were terminated.

The resolutions order the cancellation of the respective letters of credence and full powers granted to the diplomats.

In all cases, the Peruvian State thanked the diplomats for the services rendered to the Nation during the performance of their diplomatic duties.

The resolutions bear the signatures of President Jose Maria Balcazar and Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Pareja.
