Peru FA Min meets with Brazilian lawmakers, governors

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio welcomed a delegation of Brazilian Congress members and Governors at Lima-based Torre Tagle Palace, the Ministry's headquarters.

During the meeting, the officials addressed matters of common interest, underlining the ones linked to the improvement of the quality of life of the people, who live in the border areas.

Likewise, they highlighted the agreement on reaching greater integration and exchanged points of view concerning the measures that can be taken to generate sustainable development in border zones.

The high-level delegation was comprised of Senators Marcio Bittar and Sergio Petecão, federal Deputies Manuel Marcos and Alberto Neto, as well as Governors Gladson Cameli (Acre State) and Marcos Rocha (Rondonia State), who also participated in the Peru-Brazil Border Governors Binational Meeting.
