Peru: Congress' impeachment motion session convened for Nov 9

Peruvian Congress Chairman Manuel Merino on Friday afternoon convened a plenary session for November 9 at 09:00 a.m. (local time) in order to address various issues, including the debate on the presidential vacancy motion against President Martin Vizcarra.

Congress Senior Official Javier Angeles sent summons to the legislators who will meet "on the platform for virtual sessions of Congress."

Likewise, a previous meeting of spokespersons was convened for the same day at 08:30 a.m. (local time).


The measure was approved with 60 votes in favor, 40 against, and 18 abstentions. On that day, they agreed that the plenary session would be held November 9.
