, Association of Peruvian Exporters (Adex) Chairman Erik Fischer said on Monday.
The officer affirmed that —within a stable legal framework— companies will resume their medium and long-term investments to continue diversifying the
agro-export supply, as well as destinations.
"
Agro-export is an important sector for the creation of jobs," he stressed.
Fischer said the extension of Law No. 27360 will support those who have less. He added the public and private sectors need to continue working together, because that is the way to build the country all Peruvians deserve.
"As long as the sector continues to grow, entrepreneurs can improve the conditions of their employees," he expressed.
Comprehensive development
The exporting guild leader requested the Government to implement a comprehensive agricultural development policy thinking of the two million producers who do not have a clear development path.
"The objective is to reduce the marked inequality that exists in that activity," he concluded.
Adex recalled that in 2018 value-added
agro-exports served to create slightly over 1.172 million jobs.
