revealed the main voter turnout figures for the 2026 presidential runoff, in which Popular Force Party candidate Keiko Fujimori emerged victorious and will assume the Presidency of the Republic on July 28, 2026.
According to ONPE, of the 27.3 million citizens eligible to vote, 72.033%—19.6 million people—went to the polls to elect the new president for the 2026-2031 term, while absenteeism stood at 27.967%, equivalent to more than 7.6 million non-voters.
Within Peru, voter turnout reached 74.111%, with 19.3 million people casting their ballots, compared to 6.7 million absentees (25.889%).
By contrast, absenteeism was markedly higher abroad at 72.783% (881,261), while turnout stood at 27.217% (329,552).
The Popular Force Party's presidential ticket, also made up of Luis Galarreta and Miguel Torres, won the election with 9,223,396 votes. Meanwhile, the Together for Peru Party's slate obtained 9,173,755 votes.
