FA Min: Peru and Spain agree on supporting Venezuela Interim President

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio on Thursday affirmed Peru and Spain completely agree on the support for Venezuela's Interim President Juan Guaido and the call for fair and transparent elections in that country.

"A meeting between President Vizcarra and President Sanchez just ended at the Moncloa Palace," the official expressed.

"It was an extremely productive meeting in which the excellent bilateral relation was highlighted," he added. 

Likewise, Minister Popolizio indicated Peru was well represented by Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Hugo de Zela in the Lima Group during the audiences held in Bogota days ago to bring humanitarian aid to Venezuela, which is under the regime of Nicolas Maduro

Furthermore, the Foreign Affairs Ministry Head underlined President Martin Vizcarra's State visits to Portugal and Spain were fruitful and successful, adding they enabled to strengthen the bilateral relations in the political, economic, cultural, and business spheres. 

The minister also informed the Peruvian Head of State will return to the Inca country on Friday, after concluding the official activities in Europe.
