The Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting (FCBDM) will run until February 24, 2024.
This first meeting will bring together Finance and Central Bank Deputies from the member economies of this economic bloc.
In the morning, a Workshop on Domestic Carbon Pricing and Non-Pricing Measures took place.
Meanwhile, sustainability of energy transition was addressed in the afternoon.
Thus, for the third time, Peru will host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum again in 2024.
The five cities chosen as the venues for such an important event (Trujillo, Arequipa, Urubamba, Pucallpa, and Lima) possess characteristics that are conducive to host various meetings of the forum, including the Leaders' Summit, to be held in November.
The motto of this annual meeting will be "Empower. Include. Grow."
More workshops
Two new workshops on hydrometeorological risk financing will be held on Thursday, which will be followed by a second part in the afternoon.
On Friday, a meeting will bring together Finance and Central Bank representatives from the 21 member economies, which will continue in the afternoon.
On the last day, the meeting of Finance and Central Banks representatives will continue in parallel with bilateral working meetings.
It should be pointed out that Lima, Urubamba (Cusco region), Arequipa, Trujillo, and Pucallpa will host more than 160 APEC meetings slated for this year.
