After completing a running session with Werder Bremen’s physiotherapist Sven Plagge, Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro said he is doing well, which leaves the possibility that he could return to action for Saturday’s clash against Bayern Munich.

Punctual for the Tuesday morning session, the Werder players gathered in front of the changing rooms. While most of the Green-Whites headed to the Platz 4 grounds, three Werder players turned away beforehand as Claudio Pizarro, Denni Avdic and Predrag Stevanovic headed to the grounds for the obligatory final training. They had with them both their running and football boots.

"I am doing well," said Pizarro after his session. The Peruvian, who missed the 2-0 victory over Stuttgart with a knee injury, is getting closer and closer to returning to the team.

Denni Avdic and Claudio Pizarro stood with physio Sven Plagge on the pitch and completed different running drills with the ball.

The Bomber of the Andes picked up a ligament strain in the game at Borussia Mönchengladbach which left him out of the team against Stuttgart last Sunday.
