U.S. Secretary of State and Peru's Ambassador highlight strong bilateral ties

The United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and Peruvian Ambassador to the U.S., Alfredo Ferrero, held talks highlighting the bonds of friendship between the two countries.

The dialogue took place during the swearing-in ceremony of Bernie Navarro as the United States' new Ambassador to Peru, held in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.

Ferrero reiterated the invitation for Rubio to visit Peru in the near future.

As is known, Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Hugo de Zela reported that Rubio's arrival is expected in the first quarter of this year.

Additionally, the Peruvian envoy reaffirmed the interest in continuing to strengthen political dialogue and cooperation between both countries.

"During the swearing-in ceremony of Ambassador Bernie Navarro, Ambassador Alfredo Ferrero held a brief meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, highlighting the friendship between the two countries," the Peruvian Embassy in the U.S. reported on X.


Navarro's swearing-in was reported yesterday by the U.S. Embassy in Lima.
