U.S. Second Fleet Commander visits B.A.P. Tacna in Norfolk

As part of the cooperation and professional exchange activities being carried out by the Peruvian Navy during the international deployment of the vessel B.A.P. Tacna, Vice Admiral Douglas Perry, Commander of the United States Second Fleet, paid an official visit aboard the ship.

The visit took place recently while the Peruvian Navy vessel was stationed at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.

The naval officer was received by B.A.P. Tacna Commanding Officer, Navy Captain Carlo Novoa, accompanied by officers and members of the vessel's crew.

During the visit, Perry toured the vessel's main areas, where he learned about its operational and logistical capabilities.

He also exchanged professional experiences with Peruvian naval personnel.

As part of the visit, Vice Admiral Perry addressed the crew, highlighting their professionalism, preparedness, and commitment to service.

Thus, the Peruvian Navy continues to strengthen ties of cooperation, mutual trust, and interoperability with partner navies, reaffirming its presence and active participation in matters of international relevance.
