The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, arrived in Lima on Thursday afternoon to make an official visit and also participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Week currently underway in Peru.

The U.S. Head of State was received at Air Group No. 8 by Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte.

After disembarking from Air Force One, the U.S. top official greeted the Peruvian Cabinet chief, with whom he held a brief conversation.

Following this, the president boarded one of the high-security vehicles, designed to protect him during his trips, and left the premises.

As announced a few days ago by Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer, Mr. Biden will hold a bilateral meeting with Mrs. Boluarte.
