The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru), through its Commercial Offices Abroad (OCEX) in various markets in the region, supports companies, mainly small and medium-sized enterprises, on the path to internationalization with Promo Latinoamerica: Intelligence for Exporting.

In this event, held on December 12 and 13, economic and trade counselors in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico informed Peruvian exporters about the opportunities offered by the Latin American market for the national supply.

On the first day of this activity, counselors provided general information about this vast market, consumer habits, possibilities for Peruvian products, buyer profiles, business culture, trade agreements, promotional activities, among others.

Thus, exporters and potential exporters from the agriculture, fishing, clothing, and decoration sectors, as well as manufacturing and services, who wish to send their products to destinations in the region, received information to facilitate their shipments.

On the second day, entrepreneurs could participate in one-on-one meetings with economic and trade counselors, who provided personalized guidance and addressed all their queries about the Latin American market.

As part of the agenda, trade counselors also visited companies in 9 regions of the country: Piura, Chiclayo, Trujillo, Huanuco, Huancayo, Cusco, Arequipa, Pucallpa, and Tacna.
