a success, noting the significant agreements reached by the 21 economic leaders during the event held in Lima last week.
The high-ranking official underscored that the week of the event's organization was notably calm, with constant monitoring to prevent any outbreaks of violence.
"Each of the ministers will be able to explain to you all the achievements made during the successful conclusion of the APEC Presidency, with the leaders of all 21 major economies," Adrianzen said.
"I can only congratulate and extend my special thanks to the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade-Tourism for the successful organization of APEC Peru 2024. All economies were represented, different heads of government attended, and very productive meetings were held with them," he added.
The Cabinet chief also highlighted that virtual classes for Peruvian students during
APEC Leaders' Week were successfully conducted, without any incidents.
On the other hand, regarding the invitation from the Congress of the Republic for himself and
Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer to attend and explain the APEC achievements to lawmakers, Adrianzen confirmed that he will attend Parliament to provide further details on the forum held in Peru.
"(...) we received the official invitation from Congress Chairman Eduardo Salhuana, through which he extended an invitation for me (and the ministers) to attend Parliament and provide information on what APEC meant," Adrianzen mentioned.
"We have prepared for the visit, and we will be there to explain each of the achievements attained," he added.
Remarks were made during a press conference following the Council of Ministers session on Wednesday.
