President Jeri: Peru reiterates willingness to continue deepening relations with China

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, on Friday stated that Peru has a firm commitment to continue working to strengthen its bilateral relations with the People's Republic of China, aiming to achieve prosperous development for both countries.

"Peru reiterates its firm commitment to continue deepening a comprehensive bilateral relationship based on permanent political dialogue, balanced economic cooperation, and the strengthening of institutional mechanisms that contribute to the sustainable development of both nations," he expressed during the decoration ceremony honoring China's Ambassador to Peru, Song Yang.

During his remarks, the Head of State noted that the recognition granted reflects the importance and value that both the Executive and Legislative Branches place on the relationship with the People's Republic of China.

"I extend my congratulations to you on this decoration. You have our respect and deep esteem, as well as our firm commitment to continue strengthening the friendship and cooperation bonds between our countries," he expressed.

President Jeri highlighted that both Peru and China maintain a cooperative relationship grounded in mutual respect, trust, and a shared vision for development.

The Asian country has become a strategic and key partner for Peru on its path toward growth, modernization, and integration with the world.

This event was held at the Legislative Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

Also attending the ceremony were Congress' First Vice Chairman, acting as Chairman, Fernando Rospigliosi; Second Vice Chairman Waldemar Cerron; Third Vice Chairman Ilich Lopez; and Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman Heidy Juarez, among other officials from the Chinese Embassy.
