President Garcia visited this afternoon the modern missile destroyer "Shijiazhuang", in which Chinese People's Liberation Army detachment arrived in the port of Callao.
Accompanied by the Peruvian first Vice-President and congressman Luis Giampietri, the Peruvian leader boarded the Asian ship and was taken to different areas by rear-admiral Wang Fushan, sub-commander of Cina’s navy Baihai Fleet.
The “Shijiazhuang” is a missile destroyer designed for anti-aircraft defense, one of the best combat ships of the People's Liberation Army of China, equipped with a radar system that allows it to identify up to 40 targets at once with a 120-kilometer range, among other technologies.
Along with the destroyer travels the ship “Hongzehu” which is capable of transporting 10.550 tons of fuel, 1000 tons of diesel, 200 tons of feed water, 200 tons of water, and 50 tons of oil.
Both ships anchored at the Enapu Pier of Callao. After a short ceremony, the Head of state and China’s ambassador to Peru saw the Chinese delegation off.
