"Our Armed Forces and National Police have not only defended —with effort and bravery— territorial independence, sovereignty, and integrity, but also fight alongside us for the development and construction of a better country," Mrs. Boluarte stated.
Within this framework, the Head of State explained that the construction of a fairer and more equitable country, where justice prevails and opportunities exist, "has always been a desire and an objective for which we, Peruvians, have fought."
"In this effort, throughout history and especially during the republican period where the mettle and character of our society was put to the test at all times, men and women who wear the homeland's uniform stood by the people and have provided services with honor and dedication, always setting a fruitful example of courage," she expressed.

New tasks
The Head of State highlighted the new tasks carried out by law enforcement —such as delivering humanitarian aid; saving lives during Coastal El Niño Phenomenon, after strong earthquakes, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and now in the face of rains and floods in various Peruvian regions.
"Just before the start of the frost and cold season, our Armed Forces and National Police are getting ready to transport warm clothes, equipment, and medicines for our sisters and brothers in high-Andean areas, who need them so much," she added.
