At the event, various topics on the bilateral agenda were addressed.
The dignitaries completed the negotiations of the Loja 2022 Action Plan, which will be approved at the XV meeting of the Peruvian-Ecuadorian Neighborhood Commission —at the Foreign Affairs Ministers level— during the first days of December 2022.
In addition, the diplomats reaffirmed their commitment to promote joint actions with the aim of facing the contamination of transboundary basins (in particular that of the Puyango Tumbes), as well as fighting illegal mining, and implementing the various mechanisms of integrated water resources management.
The meeting was held a day prior to the 24th anniversary of the Brasilia Peace Accords signing on October 26, 1998.
These documents allowed the start of a new stage in the bilateral relationship, characterized by trust, cooperation, and development.
