Peruvian documentary “Peru vive la leyenda” (Peru. Live the Legend) won the Gold Arara award at the Tourfilm Brazil international festival in the category People, Cultures and Traditions.
TourFilm Brazil is the only event in Latin America which is affiliated to the Comitté International des Festivals du Film Touristique (CIFFT) with headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The Festival, which awards the best tourism films in the world, is part of an international circuit of 15 festivals in 12 countries.
During the ceremony, the president of the said committee, who has produced more than 300 films and won several prizes, praised the Peru Brand documentary made in Nebraska.
Peru’s Consul General in Sao Paolo represented Promperu during the event held at the Auditorium of the Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina (FIESC) located in the Brazilian city of Florianopolis.
Over 400 people attended this ceremony, including several local authorities, representatives of Brazil’s Ministry of Culture, advertising and tourism agents and more.
