The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Thursday stressed the need to set the country in motion together and with proposals.
An example of this, he said, is the participation of local and regional authorities, as well as representatives of civil society, at the
4th Decentralized Council of Ministers held in the city of Huancayo, in Junin region.
"We must work for the good of the country, for the most vulnerable sectors," he remarked.
Coming to Huancayo, he said, is not only an obligation of the Government but also a right that pertains to the people.
"Today we are here, tomorrow we will be in Puno, and next week we will be in provinces across the country," he stated.
After remarking that he accepts criticism and that he is self-critical, the Head of State pointed out that if people notice that a State minister is not working or does not open the doors to them, he will make the necessary changes.
"We need to have a Government that can meet the needs of the nation," he pointed out.
In his closing remarks, the top dignitary emphasized that during his recent visit to Parliament he felt the support of legislators to give the country a way out; however, he realized that when they speak to the press, they give another message.
