The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Monday affirmed that her Government is firm on the path of reactivating the country's economy, noting the promotion of new public works that create jobs for the benefit of the population.

The remarks were delivered during her participation in the groundbreaking ceremony for Stage 3A of the Callao Multipurpose North Terminal.

"I want to tell you that there is only one reason why investors decide to execute their projects in the country: they have full confidence in Peru, and that needs to be applauded," she said.

Moreover, the Head of State remarked that this work, which was halted for six years, is a tangible example that the country is attracting capital and that projects, which create jobs and contribute to reducing gaps across the territory, are being carried out.

"The Government continues working to put Peru in the showcase, so that businesspeople can invest here in complete safety; we are ensuring legal stability with clear rules for foreign and national investors," she stated.

Likewise, the top official underscored that this work will significantly improve the loading and unloading of clean grains such as wheat, legumes, cereals, and others that are part of the healthy diet of Peruvians.

To this end, she noted that new vertical warehouses with a capacity of 60,000 tons will be set up, yard expansions will be made, and technological improvements will be implemented with an investment of S/330 million (about US$88 million) by APM Terminals.

"That translates into more jobs and well-being of more Peruvian families. I thank those who made the materialization of this investment possible," she pointed out.
