President of the Republic Dina Boluarte has presented her Government's first administration report of 2024, in which she explained to citizens the measures that are being implemented to address major challenges —such as insecurity, the closing of infrastructure gaps, and economic growth— and give Peru a horizon of progress.
"We are here, again, to fulfill a commitment assumed with the Peruvian people, who want their authorities to be accountable for their actions and to act with transparency, efficiency, and honesty, a virtue that is so lacking in our country," she said.
During the presentation at the Government Palace on Monday, the Head of State was accompanied by members of the Ministerial Cabinet.
Moreover, she affirmed that her Government has the political decision and firm will to unblock the public works that the country needs.
"In recent weeks, we have taken important steps to promote major works that our country requires. We have been working to ensure that Peru will recover its economic growth capacity," the President stated.
"Citizen insecurity is a challenge that we are determined to tackle this year, with greater firmness and rigor, with more resources, with a much more powerful legal framework, with the support of institutions and the unity of the Peruvian people," the dignitary remarked.
Furthermore, she stressed the progress that is being made under her administration in closing social and infrastructure gaps, with which she aims to improve the quality of life of Peruvians.
