The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday indicated that the Government's policy has not changed, and that the country's stance on what is happening in Venezuela remains firm and strong.

"We are not going to be part of an electoral fraud; we are not going to support a dictatorial government. We are a democratic country, we are a country that respects the rule of law, the institutional framework, and the Constitution," she stated.

The Head of State participated in the inauguration of the Bicentennial School I. E. N° 101-1166 Simon Bolivar located in Lima.

At this event, the top official affirmed that when a State minister is replaced it is to expedite the execution of projects, which does not imply that the Government policy, or foreign policy, will change.

"Our stance regarding what is happening in the sister country of Venezuela is firm and has not changed; we have demanded that the electoral authorities and the Venezuelan government present the (electoral) records. Those who have nothing fear nothing; ballot box by ballot box, vote by vote, let them be counted," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.

The opposition -she said- presented the electoral records that declared the opposition candidate as the winner.

The Head of State indicated it is up to the Venezuelan Government to present the records in order to put an end to the situation once and for all.

"We also do not agree with the suffering of our brothers and sisters of Venezuela. Our solidarity is with the entire Venezuelan people. The foreign policy remains firm and strong," she underlined.

The president said Peru is a country that reaches out to sister countries, nations that need us, as demonstrated by the support provided to Ecuador in response to the forest fires currently affecting that country.

"We will continue to reach out to sister countries that need us, but we will never side with dictators or dictatorial governments that lead to hunger, backwardness, and underdevelopment for their populations," she pointed out.
