In this sense, the Head of State affirmed that her administration is constantly working to guarantee the rights that corresponds to them by law.
"We are not going to stop until they are well cared for at their physical, language, and psychological therapies," Mrs. Boluarte said during her visit to the Matilde Perez Palacio Residential Care Center (CAR) in Lima.
The top official affirmed it is a duty of the Peruvian State to look with love, attention, and dedication to the vulnerable population, so that its members receive the deserved care.
The President stressed that the CAR constitutes an example that should be replicated and followed in other parts of the country, reminding citizens that there are still many Peruvians who are unprotected or in a situation of abandonment at the national level.
During the visit, some CAR residents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder showed their skills playing musical instruments.
The Head of State greeted the orchestra members and highlighted the work carried out by the professionals of this State-run institution.
The aforementioned establishment was founded on June 27, 2009.
It provides specialized comprehensive care services (health care, nutritional care, psychological services, educational reinforcement, physical therapy, occupational therapy, language therapy, recreation, participation in sociocultural events, and social support).
Tonight,
the Government Palace's facade will be lit up in blue —within the framework of the "Blue Light for Autism" campaign, an initiative that will be replicated tomorrow, Sunday, in commemoration of
World Autism Awareness Day.
