The President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, stated on Wednesday that the government boosts projects and assumes responsibility for its decisions in line with public policies that benefit the population.

In that regard, the top official highlighted the signing of an agreement between the State-run Private Investment Promotion Agency (Proinversion) and Lambayeque region authorities, to boost water and health projects.

The Head of State praised the perseverance of authorities from Lambayeque in advancing their projects and said this agreement is the outcome of dialogue.

Under the agreement, powers and responsibilities are delegated to Proinversion to promote potable water projects through seawater desalination in Lambayeque province’s urban area, as well as to improve and expand wastewater treatment services in the cities of Lambayeque and Ferrenafe and in five districts of Chiclayo province.

Additionally, it includes an addendum on financing the technical studies for Lambayeque’s High-Complexity Hospital project.

President Balcazar said his administration will continue working for the regions, adding that projects will be carried out in other areas such as road infrastructure.

Lambayeque Regional Governor Jorge Perez, mayors from the region, and Proinversion Executive Director Luis del Carpio took part in the ceremony.

This event was held at the Government Palace in Lima.
