Peru's PM: Domestic gas price reduced thanks to everyone's efforts

14:51 | Lima, Sep. 16.

Peru's Prime Minister Guido Bellido on Thursday affirmed that the reduction in domestic gas price is a result of everyone's contribution.

"We have access to gas at a fair price of S/35 (about US$8.5). This shows the efforts of everyone in a people-oriented government," he posted on Twitter.

Later, the Cabinet chief visited Lima's Villa Maria del Triunfo district to participate in the opening of a new medical oxygen plant.

After that, several points of sale in Lima and provinces lowered the 10kg gas cylinder price, and now it can be purchased for S/35 (about US$8.5).

In order to locate the points of sale offering the best prices on gas cylinders, visit the Facilito GLP platform —run by the Energy and Mining Investment Regulator (Osinergmin)— which provides updated information on such prices.
