Peru's current economic situation is the result of a state policy that should go beyond next administrations, the President of the Peru’s Council of Ministers, Juan Jimenez, said Thursday. He hailed the recent recognition of the Peruvian economy by the World Bank as Latin America’s top performer over the last decade.

"This kind of information goes beyond the current administration; it formulates a state policy we have had over the last ten years and has been yielding good results. We hope this policy continue with the next government," he noted.
