On behalf of Minister Cesar Vasquez, Deputy Public Health Minister Ricardo Peña Sanchez received the international delegation and expressed the best willingness and technical assistance from this sector for the initiative to become successful.

A total of 34 professionals with experience in public health or epidemiology will participate in the event. They will be selected by the respective health authorities of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru.

Information systems professionals and data scientists with work experience in the health sector's management are also included.

The academic program will begin on June 15 and last one year, featuring content that emphasizes the importance of data analysis for decision making.

Likewise, it features interoperability and global standards in IT, data science methods, data governance and exchange, project management, among others, oriented towards public health with a regional focus.
