Peru's Head of State meets with Inter-American Dialogue President

As part of his official visit to the United States, the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo has met with Inter-American Dialogue President Michael Shifter.

In a recent tweet, the Presidency of the Republic reported that Shifter expressed interest in including the Peruvian Government in the network of leaders that foster democratic governance, inclusion, and economic empowerment of the most vulnerable.

On the other hand, the Peruvian top official also met with former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Kennedy.

According to the Presidency of the Republic, Kathleen Kennedy expressed her support to the Government of President Castillo.

The meetings took place on Monday as part of Mr. Castillo's working agenda in the United States within the framework of his first visit to such nation, which started on September 20, with his participation in the Session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington D.C.
