Peru's Head of State arrives in Berlin, set to meet with German President

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday arrived in Berlin, where she is scheduled to meet with Germany's Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and entrepreneurs.


The Head of State was received with military honors upon arrival in the German capital.

According to a legislative resolution that the Executive Branch submitted to Congress regarding this trip, the meeting is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, as well as revitalizing the visits of high-ranking German authorities to Peru.

The dignitary will also meet with representatives of German business groups.


Moreover, she will travel to Rome, where she will hold a working meeting with representatives of the Peruvian Missions to the Holy See, Italy, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).


On the first day of her working visit to Germany, President Boluarte took part in a number of official activities in the German city of Stuttgart, where she met with Mayor Frank Nopper and entrepreneurs.

The meeting with the Mayor of Stuttgart addressed issues regarding technological innovation, the articulation of micro, small and medium-sized companies (MSMEs), transportation, and environment.

Afterwards, she met with entrepreneurs and executives of the Business Association for Latin America (LAV) and participated at the "Latin America Day," an event organized by said business network.

There, the dignitary underscored the ties existing between Peru and Germany and reiterated her invitation to investors from this European country, highlighting Peruvian economic strengths.

Presidential airplane

Upon her arrival in Stuttgart, the Head of State announced that the presidential airplane will on Friday leave for Israel to evacuate the fellow Peruvian citizens who are stranded in the Middle East country.

In remarks to TVPeru, the top official indicated that since the first moment of the geopolitical conflict between Israel and Palestine, the Ministry Foreign of Affairs has been taking action on the matter, keeping Peruvians safe, and providing them with lodging and food.
