The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Wednesday that it continues to receive voting material, including electoral records and votes cast by Peruvians abroad in the 2026 General Elections.
Through its X account, the institution said Peru's consuls general delivered the material to the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) from Milan, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; Montreal, Canada; and Paterson, United States.
These electoral records and votes add to those already submitted by other Peruvian diplomatic missions abroad.

The government agency stressed that authorities are "ensuring a secure chain of custody and strict compliance with established protocols."
"Thus, we move forward by ensuring the transparency and reliability of the electoral process," it stated.
Last Tuesday, the sector noted that turnout among Peruvians residing abroad during the 2026 General Elections reached close to 40%, representing an increase compared to the historic average of 30%.
