The emblematic fruits grown in Peru's coastal, highland and jungle regions will be the highlight of this year's Mistura food fair to be held from September 9 to 18 in Lima.
Mariano Valderrama, president of the Peruvian Gastronomy Society (Apega), said that the country's wide variety of exotic fruits such as custard apple, eggfruit, camu camu, aguaymanto, guava, maracuya and elderberry will take center stage at the exhibition area.
"We will showcase the emblematic fruits of Peru in an amazing display which also includes delicacies that will surely satisfy anyone's palate at Mistura," Valderrama told Andina.
The Apega president pointed out that the ten-day event will also feature a special area devoted to cocoa and chocolate and a large stand promoting Peru's national drink, pisco, and all its varieties and brands produced in our country.
The fourth edition of Mistura, which expects to attract 300,000 visitors, will take place at Lima's Parque de la Exposicion with the participation of internationally renowned chefs, including Ferran Adria of Spain.
